About the estate

The Vigneti La Selvanella - Melini estate in Radda in Chianti, Tuscany, was acquired in the early 1960s and spans 50 hectares in a single block, making it the most extensive vineyard in Radda in Chianti and the largest Chianti Classico cru. Following mass selection, the area was planted with Sangiovese, leading to the production of a Riserva starting with the 1969 vintage and establishing the estate as one of the first to feature the provenance cru on the label. The Chianti Classico Riserva remains faithful to its authentic style throughout the decades.
