About the estate
The Vértes Birtok estate in the Etyek-Buda region was established in the early 1990s by Vilmos Vértes as a first-generation winemaker. After completing his studies at the former Horticultural University, he founded the family-run winery, which is now operated jointly with his son Gábor, a qualified viticulturist and winemaker. The estate focuses on traditional viticulture and winemaking within its local terroir. In addition to wine production, the family welcomes visitors for tastings and hosted events. The entire family is actively involved in the daily operations, combining dedication with regional expertise.
