About the estate

The VDP.Weingut Kaufmann estate is located in Eltville-Hattenheim in the Rheingau region and was founded in 2013. The winery is managed by Urban Kaufmann, a native of Switzerland who previously ran a dairy, and Eva Raps, who brings over a decade of experience as managing director of the Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates. The focus of production is on Riesling, Burgundy, and Pinot Noir grape varieties. The owners oversee the wines from the vineyards through fermentation to bottling in the cellar. In addition to winemaking, the team handles hospitality, sales, and marketing.
