About the estate

The Hungarian winery Szilassy-pince manages almost 4 hectares of vineyards based on the excellent sites of the Velence Hills. The estate's origins date back to the 1990s, with winemaking becoming the primary occupation for the family from 2005 onwards. The foundation for production consists of careful vineyard management and appropriate yield limitation to generate high-quality raw material. For vinification, the estate relies on a combination of modern technology such as stainless steel tanks and the use of wooden casks. While white and rosé wines undergo temperature-controlled fermentation, certain wines, particularly red wines, are produced via traditional fermentation and aged in oak or barrique barrels for up to several years.
