Sommos

About the estate

The Sommos estate is located in the heart of the Somontano region and features a distinctive architectural structure made of glass and steel. The gravity-fed production facility stands 27 meters tall, allowing grapes and musts to move gently without the use of traditional pumps. Vinification takes place in French oak vats, concrete deposits, and stainless-steel tanks to preserve individual plot characteristics. The vineyards include some of the northernmost and highest-altitude sites within the appellation, such as plots in Güel and Calatayud. Harvesting is conducted at night and during the early morning hours to maintain the optimal condition of the fruit.
