About the estate

The family-run agricultural estate Winzerhof Semmler is managed in the third generation in the wine village of Hohenruppersdorf in the southern Weinviertel. Indigenous grape varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling and Zweigelt, alongside Müller Thurgau, Yellow Muscat, Blauburger, Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Chardonnay, thrive on deep loess soils. The goal of the winery is to vinify digestible and easy-drinking wines in harmony with nature. The ripe grapes are largely harvested by hand, processed gently and aged in steel tanks as well as wooden barrels.

The eno directory lists 14 wines, mostly from Zweigelt and Grüner Veltliner. The estate sells to horeca and retail.
