About the estate
The Schloss Gobelsburg estate in Gobelsburg, Kamptal, looks back on a long history dating back to 1171, when the monks of Zwettl Abbey received their first vineyards. Following eventful eras and various noble families, Zwettl Abbey acquired the castle and its lands in 1740. Since February 1996, the estate has been managed by Eva and Michael Moosbrugger, who maintain and develop its wine-cultural heritage. The winery is a member of the Association of Austrian Traditional Wine Estates and cultivates historically old sites in the region. Its wines are distributed internationally.
