About the estate
The historic Schipf estate looks back on a centuries-long tradition of viticulture on the steep slopes in Herrliberg by Lake Zurich. Over 120 years ago, the property passed into the possession of the von Meyenburg family, who manage the estate today under the leadership of Kaspar von Meyenburg. Across 4.5 hectares of vineyards, varieties such as Pinot noir, Räuschling, Riesling x Silvaner, and various specialties are cultivated. The grapes are pressed in a historic wine press house and the wines are aged in a vaulted cellar, with red Pinot noir maturing in barriques or larger oak casks.
The eno directory lists 7 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Garanoir. The estate sells to horeca.
