About the estate
The Scagliola Sansi estate was founded in 1939 by Camillo Scagliola in Calosso, Piedmont, and is now run by the family in the fourth generation. Following its beginnings in mixed agriculture and bulk wine sales, the family business specialised in bottled wine production. At the heart of the range is the Barbera grape variety, which yields wines including Barbera d'Asti DOCG. The portfolio is complemented by international grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Cabernet, as well as various blends and sparkling wines. The family places great importance on ensuring that the quality of the wines is created in the vineyard.
