About the estate
The San Leonino estate is located in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti in Tuscany and looks back on a history documented since the eleventh century. Its origins lie in a feudal farm that became part of the Chianti League over the centuries. Today, the property spans a total area of one hundred hectares, with fifty-two hectares dedicated to vineyards. The vineyards are situated at altitudes between three hundred and four hundred and thirty meters on soils predominantly characterized by alberese. The focus of production is on the Sangiovese variety, yielding authentic wines such as Chianti Classico and Toscana IGT.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Sangiovese and Merlot.
