About the estate
The Roka winery estate manages two hectares of vineyards in the village of Kog within the eastern Slovenian region of Jeruzalem and Ormož. Situated at an elevation of 328 meters, the vines average fifty to sixty years in age and are tended through manual work. The estate emphasizes biodiversity, avoids herbicides and pesticides, and follows natural practices in both the vineyard and the cellar. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation takes place, and the wines mature in large oak barrels without any sulphur additions. Total annual production is small at around 4,000 bottles.
