About the estate
The Ripanera estate was founded in 1964 in San Casciano in Val di Pesa in the heart of Tuscany. The winery manages 15 hectares of vineyards, planted with approximately 80 to 85 percent Sangiovese as well as Merlot and Petit Verdot. The estate is led by Valerio Barbieri and his daughter Elisabetta Barbieri. The winery follows the principles of low-impact agriculture and integrated pest management in the vineyards. The portfolio includes Chianti Classico DOCG and Toscana IGT, which are distributed domestically and exported internationally.
The eno directory lists 3 wines, mostly from Sangiovese and Merlot. Export markets include United Kingdom, Germany and Switzerland.
