About the estate

The Richard Böcking GmbH & Co. KG estate exclusively cultivates extreme slate steep slopes along the Moselle in Traben-Trarbach. Well-known single vineyards include Trarbacher Burgberg, Schloßberg, Ungsberg, Hühnerberg, and the local site Trarbacher Taubenhaus. The focus is on the production of Riesling, including single-vineyard Rieslings from old vines. The extreme conditions require elaborate cultivation and a late harvest exclusively by hand for the strict selection of healthy grapes. The winery is managed by the family in direct descent and exports its wines to countries such as the USA, Norway, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Switzerland, and Poland.

The eno directory lists 14 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Blanc. The estate sells to horeca, retail and distributors. Export markets include Czechia and Switzerland.
