About the estate
The Pomar Viñedos, S.L. estate is located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero in Valdezate, Castile and León. The family history dates back four centuries to stonemason ancestors who settled in the area and constructed local wine presses and cellars. After many years of cultivating vineyards without using synthetic chemical products, the winery decided to obtain organic production certification in 2019. Since then, vineyard management tasks such as pruning, thinning, and the grape harvest have been intensified manually. The vineyards are situated across the municipalities of Valdezate, Fuentelisendo, Haza, Fuentecén, and San Martín de Rubiales within an environment characterized by rich biodiversity.
