About the estate
The Pighin estate was founded in 1963 by the brothers Luigi, Ercole and Fernando in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. Today, the traditional family-run winery cultivates more than two hundred hectares of vineyards across the renowned wine-growing areas of Friuli Grave and Collio. The vineyards and modern production facilities are divided between the locations in Risano and Spessa di Capriva. Only estate-grown grapes are vinified, with a strong focus on strict quality control throughout the entire production chain from the vineyard to the bottle. The distinctive trademark of the estate is the rooster symbol featured on every single bottle.
The eno directory lists 23 wines, mostly from Ribolla Gialla and Pinot Gris.
