About the estate

The Pettinella estate is run by Francesca and Giuliano, who transitioned from careers as lawyers in Lombardy and Marche to become winemakers in Abruzzo. The winery manages around three hectares of vineyards, certified organic since 2018, located across Tocco da Casauria and Silvi. The vines benefit from limestone soils and a fresh, breezy climate shaped by the surrounding mountains and the sea. The operations focus entirely on the Montepulciano grape, yielding traditional expressions including Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. The wines are crafted with minimal intervention, utilizing spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel and barrel aging in an ancient cellar.
