About the estate

The Cantina Sociale Frentana winery was established in 1958 as a cooperative and celebrated its sixty-year anniversary in 2018. The estate manages a total vineyard area of 1000 hectares across dedicated wine-growing locations. Its production includes wines from regional appellations such as Abruzzo Cococciola DOC, Abruzzo Passerina DOC, Abruzzo Pecorino DOC, Abruzzo Pecorino Superiore DOC, Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC, and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC. Through the vigneto qualità project, the producer selects prime vineyards in suitable zones and provides the growers with specialized technical assistance. The directory features a selection of 26 different wines from the estate.

The eno directory lists 26 wines, mostly from Montepulciano and Pecorino. The estate sells to horeca, retail, importers and distributors. Export markets include Germany, Netherlands and United Kingdom.
