Tenuta Del Priore – Col Del Mondo

About the estate

The Tenuta Del Priore – Col Del Mondo estate is located in Collecorvino within the Abruzzo region of Italy and was founded in 1973 by the cousins Vincenzo, Giulio, and Antonio Mazzocchetti. The name of the winery is inspired by their grandfather Vincenzo, whom locals respectfully referred to as the Priore. The vineyards extend across a hilly landscape situated between the Apennine Mountains and the Adriatic Sea, at altitudes ranging from 150 to 300 meters above sea level. The local soils are diverse, featuring clayey marls as well as stony sites such as Col del Mondo, which is home to old Montepulciano vines.
