About the estate

The Petricek family winery has been cultivating vineyards in Unternalb within the Retzer Weinberge in the northwestern Weinviertel since 1871. On the heavy and deep soils, fruit-driven white wines such as Chardonnay, Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, and Muskateller thrive alongside dense red wines like Zweigelt, Blauburger, and Blauer Portugieser. The estate relies on continuous quality management in the vineyards combined with extremely gentle processing of the grapes. While the white wines are aged one hundred percent in stainless steel tanks, the red wines mature partially in French oak barrels.

The eno directory lists 19 wines, mostly from Zweigelt and Grüner Veltliner. The estate sells to retail. Export markets include Germany and Czechia.
