About the estate
The Peter Mertes company was founded in 1924 by master winemaker Peter Mertes as a wine trade and winery in Minheim on the Moselle. Today, the business is based in Bernkastel-Kues and is managed by the fourth generation of the family. Around 400 employees produce a diverse range of wines, cocktails, and non-alcoholic products for national and international retail. The portfolio includes well-known brands such as Maybach, Bree, Biorebe, Landlust, and Rotwild. The winery features state-of-the-art technology, its own vacuum distillation plant for dealcoholization, and distributes its products worldwide.
