About the estate
The Ostertag - Hurlimann estate farms 18 hectares of vineyards in Epfig at the heart of Alsace, spread across several communes. The family has been active as winemakers since 1890, passing down traditional expertise from generation to generation from father to son and daughter. The portfolio includes wines from the AOC Alsace, AOC Alsace Grand Cru, and AOC Crémant d'Alsace appellations. The vineyards are cultivated with respect for the environment and hold Haute Valeur Environnementale certification. In the cellar, the winery relies on slow fermentation at low temperatures and aging in traditional wooden casks.
