About the estate
The organic winery Nittardi is located in the heart of Chianti Classico in Tuscany and spans a total vineyard area of 20 hectares. In the 16th century, the estate belonged to the artist Michelangelo Buonarroti, a heritage that inspires a unique combination of art and wine to this day. Since 1981, the estate has been managed by Peter Femfert and his wife Stefania Canali, with their son Leon now also involved in the family business. The organically certified vineyards extend across the historical core near Castellina in Chianti as well as the Maremma region. The portfolio features characteristic and elegant wines under the Chianti Classico DOCG denomination and other regional origins.
The estate sells to distributors and horeca. Export markets include Austria, Belgium, Czechia and France.
