About the estate

The Négy80 micro-winery was established in November 2017 in Badacsonytomaj in the Badacsony region by the Barczák family, whose involvement in viticulture builds upon decades of family tradition. In the 1930s, the grandfather acquired the first vineyard and cellar in Badacsonyörs, and the father subsequently expanded the holdings in Badacsony and Csobánc during the 1990s. While the harvested grapes were sold to larger wineries for many years, the estate now produces handcrafted wines in the Hegyvölgy vineyard with the involvement of the next generation. The name of the winery originates from a specific row spacing of 4.8 meters, which is unique to this vineyard site and traces back to a former experimental plantation established by the state farm.
