About the estate
The Nectar Lucis micro-winery is run by Lucie Šimonová as a regional project in the Podorlicko area, with grape processing and winemaking taking place at Doudleby nad Orlicí Castle. The vineyards in the municipality of Borovnice – Rájec belong to the Na skalce site within the Bohemia wine region, Mělník subregion. Annual production amounts to approximately 3,000 bottles released under the Česká zemská vína designation. The focus is on special styles such as qvevri wines, Pét Nats, and the signature Nectar lines including Nectar Noir, Nectar Blanc, and Nectar Sekt. Production relies strictly on terroir and authenticity through the use of native yeasts, foregoing filtration and fining wherever possible.
