About the estate

The traditional Miestinger winery is managed by Josef and Maria Miestinger, with the support of their son Dominik. The family's winemaking tradition dates back to the 19th century, and the operation fully focused on viticulture in 1993. Covering a vineyard area of around three hectares in Reichersdorf in the Traisental, the estate cultivates grape varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Blauer Portugieser, Zweigelt, and Riesling. The vines grow on conglomerate soils typical of the Traisental, including in the Alte Setzen and Nußgarten single vineyards. The approach combines careful vineyard management, manual harvesting, and conscientious cellar practices to produce Traisental DAC wines.
