About the estate

The Weingut Herczeg estate is located in Gaas in southern Burgenland near the Hungarian border. The winery has been run as a family business for generations and was expanded into a full-time operation in 2003. Covering around eight hectares of vineyards around Gaas, the estate produces classic white wines, characterful red wines, and Uhudler. In the cellar, modern stainless steel tanks are combined with French and American oak barrels. The offerings are complemented by an on-site tavern and a holiday home nestled in the vineyards.
