About the estate
The Meitz winery is located in Welten in the southernmost part of Burgenland, nestled in the rolling hills at the border triangle of Austria, Hungary and Slovenia. Founded in the year 2000 as a career-changer enterprise, the family currently cultivates four hectares of vineyards. The portfolio includes classic white and red wines as well as the southern Burgenland wine specialty Uhudler, alongside spirits, frizzante, must and fruit juices. The small family-run estate is jointly operated by Johann, Christoph, Christine and Nicole and also runs a traditional wine tavern.
