Mas d'en Gil

About the estate

The Mas d'en Gil estate looks back on a history spanning more than a century and a half, shaped by three successive families. In 1860, Francesc Gil acquired the property, which initially comprised 120 hectares of vineyards and was subsequently managed by the Rusiñol-Gil family and, from 1931 onward, by the Barril family. Since 1998, the estate has belonged to the Rovira Carbonell family, who restored its historical name. Today, Marta Rovira Carbonell directs the enterprise after having introduced organic agriculture to the property. The wines of the winery are rooted in the Priorat DOQ denomination.
