About the estate
Located in Mauchenheim within the Rheinhessen wine region, the Lindenhof estate has been managed by René Unger since 1994, when he refocused the traditional family farm on viticulture and estate bottling. The family farms around 30 hectares of vineyards located near Mauchenheim and in the surrounding area of Alzey. These vineyards yield contemporary wines from classic, rediscovered, and new grape varieties, ranging from traditional red wine to Riesling. Vinification takes place gently in the estate cellar, with a strong emphasis on sustainability throughout all agricultural practices. The portfolio is further complemented by cold-pressed oils produced from estate-grown grape seeds and rapeseed as well as wood-aged balsamic vinegar.
The eno directory lists 6 wines, mostly from Blauer Portugieser and Riesling.
