The LA COLLINA PODERI Az. Agr. di Marengo Piergiorgio estate in Dogliani, Piedmont, looks back on a traditional family history that began during the war years and evolved from grape and wine trading in the nineteen-fifties and sixties into full wine production. At the beginning of the nineteen-eighties, Piergiorgio took over the management, fundamentally changed the production philosophy and gradually expanded the estate to its current fourteen hectares of vineyards through dedicated acquisitions. The vineyards are situated in the hilly landscape of the Langhe, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since twenty-fourteen. The winery produces wines under denominations such as Barolo DOCG, Barbaresco DOCG, Dogliani DOCG, Barbera d’Alba DOC and Langhe Arneis DOC, utilizing traditional methods with respect for the surrounding environment.
