About the estate

Located in Gumpoldskirchen in the Thermenregion, the Krug estate has been cultivating wine since 1746 and is run as a family business. The thirty-hectare vineyard area is managed according to natural principles with the objective of producing high-quality wines. The family places great emphasis on diligent vineyard care and the strict selection of healthy grapes as the basis for careful maturation. Alongside wine production, the estate also fosters traditional wine tavern culture at the historic Altes Zechhaus.

The eno directory lists 22 wines, mostly from Rotgipfler and Merlot. The estate sells to importers, distributors, horeca and retail. Export markets include Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
