About the estate

The third-generation Koppensteiner Klaus u. Anita estate is located in Dürnstein in the Wachau region and cultivates 6.5 hectares of vineyards. Among the most valuable sites of the winery are Loibenberg, Steingraben, Mühlpoint, and Pfaffenberg, featuring steep terraces with dry stone walls that are farmed entirely by hand. The main grape varieties of the family-run business are Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, complemented by smaller quantities of Yellow Muskateller and Blauburger, as well as a homemade apricot brandy. Vinification takes place in two cellars located in the Unterloiben cellar lane, with a new working cellar enabling the gentle pressing of typical Wachau wines. The offer is rounded off by a traditional wine tavern in the center of Unterloiben.
