About the estate
The Klug family winery was first documented in 1792 and is located in the heart of Western Styria in the Hochgrail Schilcher region at Reinischkogel. The estate cultivates vineyards directly at the renowned Ried Hochgrail site, where viticulture has been practiced for generations. The winery is managed by cellarmasters Markus and Wolfgang Klug together with their wives Maria and Angelika. The portfolio focuses on the Blauer Wildbacher grape, yielding Schilcher in various styles ranging from racy to late harvest and frizzante, alongside Sauvignon Blanc and DAC wines. Additionally, the property maintains a sweet chestnut plantation with around 400 trees.
