About the estate

The Kellerei Kloster Einsiedeln winery looks back on a winemaking tradition dating back to the 12th century, rooted in the Benedictine community founded in 934. Today, the estate cultivates a total of 13 hectares of vineyards in locations such as Leutschen, on Ufnau Island, as well as in Weiningen and Unterengstringen. The grapes are processed in the historic cellar in Einsiedeln, which has maintained its present form since the monastery was rebuilt in 1704. The portfolio includes wines from the AOC Schwyz, AOC Zurich, and Lake Zurich AOC origins. Manual labor in the vineyards and craftsmanship in the cellar characterize the production.
