About the estate
The Jean Stodden winery is located in the Ahr valley and has been dedicated to viticulture since 1578. In 1900, Alois Stodden began vinifying Pinot Noir independently. Today, the estate is managed by Alexander Stodden. The vineyards are situated on steep and hillside plots with a southern to southeastern exposure. The soils consist of a sand-clay mixture with a partially very high stone content, producing pure Burgundian wines.
