About the estate
The Istine estate is located in Radda in Chianti in Tuscany and is run by the Fronti family. The first plots for viticulture were acquired in 1982, and the estate has been bottling its own wines since the 2009 harvest. Today, the winery farms nearly 20 hectares of vineyards situated in the municipalities of Radda in Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti. The vineyards are distributed across separate plots at high altitudes with rocky soils composed of Galestro and Alberese. Production focuses primarily on the Sangiovese grape variety for the Chianti Classico DOCG denomination.
