Ioppa

About the estate

The Ioppa estate was founded in 1852 and is now managed in the seventh generation as the oldest family-run wine business in the hilly area between Romagnano Sesia and Ghemme in northeastern Piedmont. The vineyards extend along southwest-facing slopes in a scenic region by the Sesia River with views of Monte Rosa. In 2003, the winery moved to a new facility in the Frazione Mauletta area, housing modern technical equipment for vinification and aging. To protect the environment and ensure healthy grapes, the vineyards are farmed following integrated production techniques with organic fertilization and targeted, low-impact treatments. The wine portfolio comprises the protected designations of origin Ghemme DOCG and Colline Novaresi DOC.
