About the estate
The Il Carpino estate is located in San Floriano del Collio in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region close to the Slovenian border. The history of the family-run business dates back to the late 1970s when the first plots of land were acquired, before the estate was officially established with its own brand and first label in 1987. Today, the winery is managed by Franco Sosol alongside his wife Anna and his son Manuel. The vineyard area currently covers 15 hectares in a terrain particularly well suited for viticulture. Thanks to its strictly family-run structure, all phases from vineyard management to commercialization are independently controlled.
