About the estate
The Il Barlettaio estate was founded in 1995 by Francesco Bertozzi in Tuscany with the aim of reviving family vineyards in Radda in Chianti. The certified organic winery cultivates three hectares of vineyards at an altitude of around 500 meters on soils composed of Macigno toscano, Alberese, and Galestro. All work in the vineyard and cellar is carried out manually with rigorous grape selection and low yields. Annual production amounts to approximately 12,000 bottles, with the wines under the Chianti Classico DOCG denomination undergoing prolonged aging in oak barrels before commercialization.
