About the estate
The Holzer winery in Großriedenthal in the Wagram region has existed since 1884 and is managed today by Gerhard Holzer jun. as a family-run enterprise. The estate cultivates approximately 7.5 hectares of vineyards, with about 70 percent planted to white varieties and 30 percent to red varieties. Since 1989, the estate has practiced close-to-nature viticulture featuring biological pest control and strict quality controls. For vinification, the business relies on a combination of traditional aging methods and state-of-the-art cellar technology.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Gelber Muskateller and Grüner Veltliner.
