About the estate

The Hermenegild Mang estate is located in the heart of Weißenkirchen directly along the Danube and looks back on a winemaking tradition dating back to 1287. Today, the family-run business within the Wachau DAC and Lower Austria denominations is jointly managed by the brothers Hermenegild and Alexander Mang across the tavern and winemaking operations. The vineyards are situated on steep terraces along the Danube and are cultivated entirely by hand. The portfolio includes Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay, Muscat Ottonel, Sauvignon Blanc, and various red wines such as St. Laurent, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. In the cellar, these grapes are crafted into characterful wines ranging from the Federspiel and Smaragd quality levels to premium sweet wine styles.
