About the estate

The Heinrich Hartl winery in Oberwaltersdorf in the Thermenregion is run by Heinrich and Marie-Sophie Hartl in the sixth generation. Covering a vineyard area of 16 hectares, they cultivate sites with barren gravel, shell limestone, and brown earth. The estate focuses on regional red wines such as Pinot Noir and St. Laurent as well as traditional Austrian grape varieties like Rotgipfler, Zierfandler, and Traminer. The soils are managed organically and certified according to the Nachhaltig Austria standard. With craftsmanship and respect for nature, the team produces characterful white and red wines of great potential.
