About the estate

The Hungarian winery HANGAVÁRI Szőlőbirtok manages 13.9 hectares of vineyards in the Tokaj wine region. The vineyards are spread across the Lapis, Somos, and Várhegy sites, which are characterized by volcanic soils. These vineyard parcels are situated at altitudes ranging from 150 to 250 meters above sea level. Traditional grape varieties such as Furmint, Hárslevelű, and Sárga muskotály are cultivated. The oldest vines within the estate were planted in 1975 and 1979.
