About the estate
The Gvantsa Zakaradze winery is located in Tsinandali within the Kakheti region of Georgia. Planted in spring 2000, the vineyards sit at an elevation of 500 meters on the left bank of the Kisiskhevi River with sandy loam soils. The estate practices organic farming, is vegan, and relies on manual harvesting. Vinification involves spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in traditional Kvevris, followed by maturation in the same vessels until August. The wine is bottled with minimal sulfur additions and a coarse paper filtration.
The eno directory lists 12 wines, mostly from Chkhaveri and Rkatsiteli.
