About the estate
The Hungarian winery Gönczi Borászat is located in Eger and is run as a family business by senior and junior Gábor Gönczi. Viticulture, which began in 1986, currently covers 5.5 hectares of vineyards in the areas of Demjén, Egerszalók and Andornaktálya within the Eger wine region. The vineyards are cultivated in an environmentally friendly manner under the agri-environmental management scheme, with a primary focus on natural yield restriction. The entire harvest is processed in the estate's own cellars at Kőlyuk Pincesor with minimal intervention to preserve natural characteristics. The wines are currently distributed through direct producer sales locally.
