Ghvenakhe

About the estate

The Ghvenakhe winery is located in the Kakheti region of the Republic of Georgia and brought its family wine cellar to the market in 2019. The grapes are hand-harvested from two vineyard plots in the Busheti terroir at an altitude of 650 to 700 meters from 30- and 80-year-old vines. The red clay soils are managed with sustainability in mind to ensure balanced yields and extend the lifespan of the vines. In winemaking, the small-scale producer combines modern techniques with traditional qvevri fermentation methods. The production is dedicated to reviving authentic traditional procedures paired with indigenous grape varieties for Georgian wines.
