About the estate
The Chateau Khashmi estate is a family cellar located in the village of Khashmi in the Iori Valley, Georgia, producing wine according to ancient Georgian tradition. The vineyards are situated on the soils of Karabulakhi and cultivate grape varieties such as Saperavi, Kisi, Rkatsiteli, Khikhvi, and Kakhuri Mtsvane. The grapes are organically farmed, harvested by hand, and carefully selected on sorting tables. Vinification takes place naturally in Qvevris, which are large clay vessels buried deep underground. The resulting wines are unfiltered and produced without any additions or added sulphites.
The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Saperavi and Kisi.
