Forteto della Luja

About the estate

The Forteto della Luja winery has its origins in a rural building constructed in 1790 in Loazzolo in southern Piedmont. The vineyards are situated on steep, marly limestone soils at an altitude of about 600 meters and are cultivated without the use of herbicides. The estate is managed by the Novelli-Scaglione family, whose ancestors acquired the property in the nineteenth century. At the center of production is the traditional Moscato Passito, which is produced under the Loazzolo DOC designation.
