About the estate
The Fontesecca estate was established in 2001 when the family relocated from Verona to Umbria to launch an organic project on a historic hill on the border between Umbria and Tuscany. Today, the winery is managed by the second generation alongside partners who are dedicated to preserving biodiversity and practicing natural agriculture. The vineyards are situated in a scenic landscape that also includes olive groves and woodlands. Vinification is carried out through hand harvesting and spontaneous fermentation without the addition of oenological additives. The portfolio features both single-varietal wines and blends produced primarily from native grape varieties such as Trebbiano Toscano, Grechetto, Malvasia, Ciliegiolo, Sangiovese, and Canaiolo.
