The Firmenich, Steinberghof estate is nestled in the rolling hills of South Styria in Ehrenhausen/Weinstraße and is managed in the fifth generation. The winery farms its vineyards organically and relies on a sustainable approach with minimal intervention in nature. The vines grow on unique coralline limestone soils at the Steinberg, shaped by an old limestone quarry area and extreme weather conditions influenced by the Alpine-Adriatic climate featuring cool nights and hot days. Through careful craftsmanship and hand-harvesting, the estate produces characterful, elegant wines of the highest quality with a distinctive structure. In addition to winemaking, the property operates a family-run traditional tavern and a boutique hotel.
